Russell Court

Russell Court is a residential apartment block in London. often considered as one of the leading examples of the Art Deco architectural movement. It was designed by celebrated English architect George Val Myer (who also designed BBC Broadcasting House) back in 1937. When Brintons was approached by Neil McLachlan Design to collaborate on a new Axminster carpet design for the building, it was fitting that the rich history and features were reflected within the design. Using a deep blue and gold palette in an art deco inspired waterfall pattern, the carpets add a touch of quality and luxury as the focal point of both the corridors and stairs.

I was delighted to work with Brintons on the Russell Court carpet project. The building merited a customised design and feedback on the result has been wonderful. It was a great collective effort we can all be extremely proud of.
