Brintons is proud to have worked alongside esteemed Singaporean design firm Axis ID Singapore Pte Ltd to create a collection of contemporary custom designed axminster carpets for the floors of Royal Plaza on Scotts, Singapore. Over 16,000m² Brintons wool rich woven axminster carpets grace the floors of the hotel.

Royal Plaza on Scotts, Singapore, is perfectly attuned to the needs of today’s modern traveller. Its location, close to Orchard Road in the heart of Singapore, creates a thriving energy and buzz. The hotel’s interior transformation was centred around the needs of the modern traveller. Axis ID Singapore Pte Ltd delivered a thoughtful modernisation programme, which saw ornate designs and opulent details carefully replaced with modern geometry.

Linear design treatments, trims and details are used throughout – from the hotel lobby through to the guestrooms. Neutral tones of off-white and taupe grace the walls, creating a subtle backdrop, allowing focus and attention to be drawn to the furnishings, artwork and decoration – including the vibrant range of custom designed Brintons carpets.

Two large floral, mural artworks were preserved and provided design inspiration for the carpets in all 511 guestrooms. The carpets, designed and woven by Brintons, showcase a graphical reinterpretation of the mural patterning in a powerful, high impact palette. Vibrant, fiery red carpets furnish the deluxe rooms, premier rooms are distinguished by royal blue and the club floor rooms showcase glorious, sunflower yellow floors.

The carpets, woven in Brintons signature 80% wool, 20% nylon blend, give a feeling of luxury underfoot, whilst providing a hard wearing, high performance decorative surface for the floors. Brintons is proud to have been specified by Axis ID Singapore Pte Ltd to design and weave carpets for the hotel's guestrooms, corridors, club lounge and Grand Staircase.
