High Point University

Brintons partnered with Perkins&Will and CJMW Architecture to provide 6,600+ SY of Axminster for High Point University.

High Point University believes that surrounding its students with excellence will promote excellence in the students. This belief ultimately drove the designs for the campus conference center and hotel. The President of the University and his wife, Dr. Qubein and Mrs. Qubein, had a specific vision of deep blues and reds to give a Presidential feel in combination with the University's deep purple tones to exude a feeling of distinction.

The 1300+/- seat Conference Center needed a design that could handle the full scale of the space and look cohesive when portioned into small meeting rooms. Senior Designer at CJMW Architecture, Carol Wooley, headed the effort and went through numerous iterations to study the pattern, scale, and balance of tones.

The Perkins&Will team focused on the Kahn Hotel nestled within the campus for current and future High Point University families to stay. Interior Designer Corianne Burrell refined the custom patterns for the hotel corridors, guest rooms, and presidential suites. Continuing the theme, each living corridor of the hotel suites alternated between a blue and red color scheme.

The results for High Point University are stunning, built from the creativity of the collaboration between teams. Brintons was honored to provide luxury Axminster carpet to meet the campus' theme of excellence.

“Brinton’s made this process effortless. Their online tools helped us create initial iterations and options, and then they worked with us in person to refine pom colors and produce renderings, strike-offs, etc.”
