Brintons proudly presents our Self Expression Winter 2026 collection from Cherise Porretto, Senior Designer.
Inspired by the layered construction of the Maria Clara gown, TERNO translates Filipino heritage into a contemporary surface pattern. The collection explores contrast, layering, and reinterpretation—design principles deeply rooted in traditional dress.
Drawing from this visual language, TERNO reimagines plaid through sophisticated layers and nuanced pattern interplay. Shifts in scale, rhythm, and contrast create movement and depth, resulting in designs that feel both dynamic and refined.
By transforming historic dress into a modern carpet expression, TERNO honors cultural legacy while reinterpreting it for today’s interiors—offering designs that are rooted yet progressive, rich in story, texture, and creative evolution.
About Cherise Porretto, Designer of TERNO
A Graphic Designer turned Textile Artist, I have spent 14 of my 25 years in design immersed in the world of Axminster carpet. Since starting with Brintons in 2012—training in both Las Vegas and Kennesaw, Georgia—I have developed a deep passion for this medium, using the technical precision of AX to bring artistic expression to the floor.
