Modern Slavery Act 2015

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘the Act’), which came into effect in October the same year, signalled a new drive in the fight against slavery. It includes a duty on businesses to play their part in stopping modern slavery in global supply chains.

Brintons prides itself in being a responsible business and is committed to complying with the requirements of the Act.

Section 54 of the Act (Transparency in Supply Chains) requires Brintons to publish a statement on its website of the steps taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any of our supply chains or in any part of our own business. Suppliers are those businesses that supply either goods or services (or both) to the firm.

We have assessed all aspects of our own business which remain compliant with the Act.
