The Hydro Majestic, Blue Mountains, Australia

The heritage building was opened in 1904 as a health resort, attracting guests from around Australia and the world, including famous Australian Opera singer Dame Nellie Melba who performed a number of times at the hotel.

The Cat's Alley, which has an interesting history in of its own, comprises a long corridor and dining area that overlooks the majestic Megalong Valley, and offers a striking red chrysanthemum motif. The ballroom has a beautiful Tiffany Blue highlight throughout the wrought-iron design.

An impressive $30 million was spent on rejuvenating this iconic venue, taking over 6 years to complete.
