The Hydro Majestic, Blue Mountains, Australia
Working with interior designer Peter Reeve, Brintons helped to bring back the Roaring 20s party spirit the through custom designed carpets throughout The Hydro Majestic in the Blue Mountains.
The heritage building was opened in 1904 as a health resort, attracting guests from around Australia and the world, including famous Australian Opera singer Dame Nellie Melba who performed a number of times at the hotel.
The Cat's Alley, which has an interesting history in of its own, comprises a long corridor and dining area that overlooks the majestic Megalong Valley, and offers a striking red chrysanthemum motif. The ballroom has a beautiful Tiffany Blue highlight throughout the wrought-iron design.
An impressive $30 million was spent on rejuvenating this iconic venue, taking over 6 years to complete.
