Marriott Hotel, Zurich
Originally built in 1972, the hotel Marriott is known as one of the most famous 5-star establishments in Zurich.
Ideally located close to the historical centre of the city, the hotel benefits from a large open view of both the Ütliberg mountain and the Zürisee lake.
It offers the capacity of 255 guestrooms and 6 suites, spread over 19 floors. The public areas host banquets, conferences as well as meeting rooms for a total coverage of more than 1,000 sq.m.
The full renovation took place between July and September 2007 and was led by the German interior Design company, Contura.
The design brief for this major re-vamp was to use refined lines and dark woods combined with the warm colours of the textiles (burgundy and gold) and thus creating a sober but very elegant atmosphere which contributes to the impression of luxury, comfort and privacy.
