Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel, Las Vegas, NV USA
Melissa Anselmo of Yates-Silverman design firm in Las Vegas got just the statement she was hoping for in designing public spaces at the new Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel.
“Even under the pressures that time and creativity demanded, you composed a carpet design that is beautiful and striking,” she told Brintons’ Las Vegas-based designers, adding, “You are a delight to work with. Thank you again for your creativity and dedication.”

The larger-than-life custom woven carpet design that graces the private event and dining facility on 16th floor is complementary with both the interior and exterior industrial era theme of the project. Its intricate, sweeping asymmetrical pattern was inspired by the revolutionary Timorous Beasties design collection (Vintage Damask).
The most prominent aspect of the Eastside Cannery is its 16-story bronze hotel tower, featuring exposed structural and decorative elements and topped off by a saw tooth roofline. Visual references to its unique theme include the use of brick and steel, cross-braced steel facades, heavy steel open trusses and nostalgic murals that decorate the outer walls of the property.
The interior design extends the industrial theme with a hi-tech flair, including large open truss ceilings, exposed mechanical and over-scaled detailing throughout the property. As seen on the top floor of the tower, the extremely large scale carpet design is in perfect balance with the theme, bringing strong visual appeal and color to the large open space.
