Jodie Johnson and Judy Clarkson, the owners, developers and operators of Blue Hills Residences, worked with architectural and interior design practice, FMSA, to reinvent the concept of retirement living in Melbourne. The result was the creation of a high-end, luxurious lifestyle resort reserved exclusively for retirees aged 55 years and over. Blue Hills Rise comprises 16 apartments and offers a broad range of lifestyle services for residents and visitors. At the heart of the development is a Country Club, for which Brintons was commissioned to provide Axminster carpet for the communal and dining areas, library, hallways, boardroom and offices.

Brintons enjoys a strong relationship with this particular South American casino operator and its appointed interior design company (Provedo Quintiero Arquitectos), having provided Axminster carpet for eight of its other casinos. Brintons was therefore the first-choice flooring partner when the RiverBoat Casino operator and its interior design company needed new Axminster carpet for its RiverBoat in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Philadelphia’s Academy of Music first opened in 1857 and is the oldest grand opera house in America that is still used for its original purpose. It is both a celebrated historical landmark and a strong focus of cultural life in the city. Brintons was commissioned to play a leading role in the restoration of the historic ballroom by designing and weaving a grand Axminster rug for the centre of the room.

When the Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel was originally opened five years ago, the ballroom and pre-function areas were carpeted using a simple design. However, the property owners wanted to give both spaces a significant boost by installing brand-new carpet and commissioned Brintons to provide a suitable design that would transform this popular part of the hotel.

The Terminal City Club was first established in 1892 but has been in its current location for the last 10 years. As a popular private members club, the last decade had taken its toll on the interior of the property, so the management team decided to undertake an extensive renovation to breath new life into the club. Brintons was commissioned by SSDG Interiors Inc. to supply suitable carpet for the ballroom, meeting room, dining room, corridors and boardroom.

Treasury Brisbane commissioned Brintons to provide Axminster carpet for the refurbishment of the Ryan’s on the Park lobby bar, within the Treasury Hotel. Ryan’s is a small and intimate space, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overlooking the picturesque Queen’s Park, the bar mainly accommodates the hotel’s guests but is also ideal for corporate meetings, functions and after-work drinks.

The new-build Firekeepers Casino is the 19th Indian gaming casino in the state of Michigan and was opened in August 2009. The venue is owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi and Perez Architects was responsible for shaping the interior of the venue. Brintons’ design and technical expertise in the gaming industry meant it was commissioned to provide the cushion-back Axminster carpet tiles for the project.

The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is a 1000-bedroom new build property owned by Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Respected architects and interior design specialists, BBG-BBGM, were appointed to shape the interior of the hotel. Having impressed the design company with its results on other hotel assignments in the past, Brintons was commissioned to design and manufacture the carpet for various spaces within the property.

London-based interior design architect, RDD Plc, was employed to undertake the refurbishment of the Marriott Warsaw and its long-standing relationship with Brintons meant the company was commissioned to design and weave the Axminster carpet for the two-phase project.

The Band on the Wall venue has been at the heart of Manchester’s thriving music scene for 70 years. Inner City Music, a not-for-profit charity that strives to present an eclectic mix of different types of music from around the world and to increase the local community’s interest in music generally, runs the live music club and has been the driving force behind a two-year project to renovate the venue. Brintons’ record for delivering the best quality Axminster meant it was commissioned to weave a carpet for the venue.
