The next generation business minds visit Brintons
4th October 2013
Brintons was pleased to welcome some of the Business students from Malvern College in Worcestershire last week.
Rita Bancroft, Group Marketing Director, explained to them about the Brintons brand, and where the company is today from when it began over 230 years ago. She told them about the production processes and how the company has invested greatly in new machinery and technology, as well as showing them examples of some of the bespoke commercial installations that Brintons has done.
This was followed by Don Coates, Managing Director, who briefed them about the company and its background from when Brintons was a family owned business, to the takeover and revival by the Carlyle Group. He also explained how Brintons is a design-led company, and a fashion brand, which very much focuses on the current trends.
This turnaround story made a great case study for the students and the day finished with a tour around the factory, showing them the carpet weaving processes and some of the technologies of the future.
