Clerkenwell Design Week - calendar of events

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting a series of exciting events at our newly refurbished London Design Centre to celebrate Clerkenwell Design Week.

Tuesday, 21st May - Union Jack competition – Entrants will be supplied with a canvas and given the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents by painting a union jack incorporating the Brintons strap line “making the world a more beautiful place. The entrant who creates the most impressive design will win a pair of tickets to the Coronation festival held at Buckingham Palace in July.

22nd May - Hat making workshop session at 11am and 3pm– create a design for a Brintons bowler hat, entrants who have a flair for design or feel they could produce an inspirational hat will be given the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to the Coronation Festival. 

23rd May - Timorous Beasties & Brintons Archive discussion forum.  Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons from Timorous Beasties will be joined by John Bain, Brintons Global Design Director to give a talk on the design collections we have collaborated on. Following this Brintons dedicated Archivist will give an insight in to our extensive collection of textile designs, which dates back to 1783. Starts at 6pm, RSVP required for this event (please email sldraper@brintons.co.uk for further details).

What are clippings?

Items already added to your clippings are indicated by a green tick icon above the image. You can return to, or delete, any clipping from the Your Clippings page by selecting View/Manage.
